Hello my loves,
So it’s been a while since I rocked up in your inbox.
How are you doing?
Of course, since I last emailed you there have been SO many things to share.
But sometimes, keeping things simple and operating on the minimum viable version of ourselves is just what’s needed.
And for me, that has meant finishing my book, looking after my wellbeing, my family, and my clients.
Today I want to share one thing that has been transformative for me recently: deep work (if you know Cal Newport’s book on this subject, you’ll be familiar with the concept of it).
Specifically, deep work that’s facilitated by Flown, a company that has been hitting the tech news headlines recently for their successful expansion and investment.
I start most days now with a session know as a Take-Off, in which we meditate, journal, and set intentions for the day (yep, the stuff I sometimes do on my own, but accountability makes it happen).
I also join in with deep work sessions when I want to really focus on moving through my projects with presence and no distractions.
To say using Flown has been transformative is an understatement.
Deep work has really shifted the way I plan and approach my work in the day, allowing more time for creativity, the gym, the river, and my family, of course.
Here is a link to try Flown if you fancy seeing what the fuss is about.
In the meantime, let me know how you are!
Jo
P.S: Over on Instagram this week I have been asking about vulnerability.
Come and join the conversation.
